The Church Who Lost Its Way

The Declined Vs. The Messianist Church In Our Times!

The early Church, from 30 to 90 AD, was a tight-knit community, a family, a body of believers in Messiah. However, when it moved to Greece in 300 AD, it became more of a philosophy than a community. This was a decline away from the original!

Later, in 400 AD, in Rome, it became an institution. Another decline away from it's former structure. From there, it morphed into a culture in Europe. Again, the church descended from the early church model.  By 1500 AD. Today, in America, it has become a business. The morphing in each centuries influence tells us the story of how much we have lost from the original church, which was given by Yahshua Jesus who gave to the Apostles in the structure of the Book of Acts.

The Church has gone through many morphings over the years and the model of the Acts Blueprint has been disgarded so we must consider how much they strayed from their roots.

From being a family, a body, a community [our example], it's now become a shell of its former self; a prostitute of from its orginal beauty as the Bride of Messiah, but these have sold out, selling-out their own God called identity; off track. It's time to take a hard look at these changes and reflect on how far they have gone in their errors. If you did not known, the modern church is having a "CULTURE" problem! "We must not measure by the cloth but by the ruler," we only have one ruler the Word of God!" said William Tyndale. Before we endorse people's views of opinion about these churches who have woulded off, we must ask ourselves this question, "What is being done about the decining drift of the Church which is not changing her present day cource?  I am speaking dirrectly to churches who have lost their way, and these statements are not universal ones.

Being a Moshiachian [Hebrew believer in Yahshua] an Anointedian [Christian believer in Yahshua] we are all One New Man together through Yahshua Messiah [Acts 11:26]. This means following Yahshua/ Jesus as our "MASTER!" We are pursuing being; because we have been made one Yahshua, by following His exambles and commands, guarding these in our hearts and walking out our faith by living by His example. This is all capable because He has sent His Spirit into our heart. He lived and shows us how to live in the Gospels as well what He taught through His Disciple-Apostles in the Epistles. We have decided to commit in living lives in sync with the head of the church and make His Spirit our Senior Partner who leads us daily. We have His anointed word to follow and we encounter Him as we abide and remain in communion receiving from His enlivinging [ His own Spirit poured in us] in our life, We lean upon the book of Acts show us how the church truly is and how it opperates for today. Doing this we become Globe Changer for He has given us His Great Comission Commission!!!

In contrast, We have giving you an alternative here at Way Of Ther Master Yahshua & Tent Of Meeting Fellowship to live lives becoming a [Moshiachian] [Anointedian] Christian Believer!

THE HISTORICAL OF WATER BAPTISM! - Part One

Doctrinal Outline: The Transformative Power of Water Baptism
I. Foundational Truth: Baptism as More Than Symbol
Water baptism, far from being a mere symbolic gesture, holds profound spiritual significance. It's a pivotal moment in the believer's journey, rooted in the very fabric of creation and redemption. Consider Genesis 1:2, where the Spirit of God hovered over the waters. This imagery sets the stage, as baptismal waters echo the creation, where the Spirit prepares for new life. Then, in Romans 6:3–4, we learn that baptism signifies a spiritual death and resurrection, a transformative experience, not just a ritual.

II. Death of the Old Man and Resurrection in Messiah
Baptism isn't just a dip in the water; it's a complete transformation. In Romans 6:6–7, we find that our old selves were crucified, freeing us from the bondage of sin. Colossians 2:12 further emphasizes this, highlighting that we are buried with Christ in baptism and raised with Him through faith. And, in Galatians 3:27, it's clear: when we are baptized into Christ, we put on Christ. Baptism, therefore, represents the death of the old self and the birth of a new creation in Christ.

III. Deliverance from Demonic Strongholds
Baptism serves as a powerful tool for spiritual liberation. Acts 22:16 encourages us to be baptized to wash away our sins, and 1 Peter 3:21 states that baptism now saves us. Moreover, Mark 16:17 highlights that believers, empowered by Christ's name, will drive out demons. This act of dying with Christ severs demonic legal rights, while resurrection in Him fills the void with divine presence.

IV. Infilling of the Holy Spirit and Heavenly Language
The Holy Spirit's presence is a crucial aspect of the baptismal experience. Acts 2:38 tells us to repent, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. In Acts 10:44–48, we see that Gentiles received the Spirit and spoke in tongues before water baptism, which affirms its connection. Similarly, Acts 19:5–6 shows that being baptized in Christ's name is followed by being filled with the Spirit and speaking in tongues. Baptism, therefore, opens the door for Spirit baptism, overflowing with divine utterance and empowerment.

V. Healing and Restoration: Shalom in the Waters
Baptism also acts as a gateway to healing and restoration. Isaiah 53:5 reminds us that by Christ's stripes, we are healed. The healing in the pool of Bethesda, described in John 5:4–9, foreshadows the restoration that comes through baptism. Titus 3:5 confirms that we are saved through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. Baptism thus becomes a portal for healing—body, soul, and spirit—ushering in divine wholeness.

VI. Early Church Fathers on Baptismal Power
The early Church Fathers understood and affirmed the transformative power of baptism.

Justin Martyr (First Apology 61): Viewed baptism as regeneration and entry into the kingdom.
Tertullian (On Baptism 1, 12): Believed that salvation is unattainable without baptism, which washes away blindness and sets free.
Hippolytus (Homilies 11:26): Stated that baptism extinguishes the fire and changes one’s birth into salvation.
Cyril of Jerusalem: Taught that baptism brings illumination, forgiveness, and the indwelling of the Spirit.
Gregory of Nyssa: Saw baptism as mystical participation in Christ’s death and resurrection.
The Fathers considered baptism a sacramental gateway to regeneration, deliverance, and Spirit empowerment, not just a symbol.

VII. Doctrinal Summary
Water baptism, therefore, is:

A burial of the old self and resurrection in Christ.
A moment of deliverance from demonic bondage.
An opportunity to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
A gateway to healing and restoration.

Early Church Fathers on Baptism: Key Teachings - Part 2

The early Church Fathers, influential theologians and leaders from the first few centuries of Christianity, held baptism in high regard. Their writings provide valuable insights into the significance and practices surrounding this central Christian sacrament. Here’s a look at their key teachings, broken down for easy understanding.

I. Baptism as Regeneration and New Birth

One of the primary themes emphasized by the early Church Fathers was baptism as a means of spiritual rebirth. They saw it as the moment a person entered into a new life in Christ.

  • Justin Martyr (c. AD 151), in his First Apology, highlighted that baptism is the gateway to spiritual rebirth. He connected the act of being washed with water to Jesus' teaching that one must be "born again" to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

  • Irenaeus of Lyon (c. AD 190) further elaborated on this idea, describing baptism as a cleansing ritual that leads to spiritual regeneration. He stated that through baptism, individuals are "spiritually regenerated as new-born babes," signifying a fresh start in their faith.

II. Forgiveness of Sins and Salvation

The Church Fathers consistently linked baptism with the forgiveness of sins and the attainment of salvation. They believed it was a crucial step in the journey of faith.

  • Tertullian (c. AD 205), in his work On Baptism, clearly stated that "without baptism, salvation is attainable by no one." He saw baptism as essential for receiving God's grace and the remission of sins.

  • Origen (c. AD 250), in his Commentary on Romans, addressed the practice of baptizing infants. He explained that baptism removes the "innate stains of sins," indicating that it was a practice for all ages, not just adults.

  • Cyril of Jerusalem (c. AD 350) described baptism as a "bath of sanctification, a spiritual rebirth," emphasizing both the cleansing aspect and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.

III. Spiritual Warfare and Deliverance

The early Church Fathers also viewed baptism as a spiritual act that involved warfare against evil and deliverance from its influence.

  • The Shepherd of Hermas (c. AD 95–140) used vivid imagery to describe baptism, stating that individuals "descend into the water dead, and they arise alive." This suggests a symbolic death of the old self and resurrection into a new spiritual life, implying deliverance from the bondage of sin and darkness.

  • Gregory of Nyssa (c. AD 394) connected baptism to the death and resurrection of Christ, viewing it as a mystical act that breaks the power of sin and darkness in a person's life.

IV. Reception of the Holy Spirit

Another significant aspect of the early Church Fathers' teachings was the connection between baptism and the reception of the Holy Spirit.

  • Hippolytus (c. AD 215), in his Apostolic Tradition, described the practice of laying hands on the baptized person after baptism to receive the Holy Spirit. This practice highlights the close link between baptism and the experience of the Spirit.

  • Ambrose of Milan (c. AD 387), in his work On the Mysteries, emphasized the transformative nature of baptism, stating that through it, one is "washed, sanctified, and justified," and the Spirit comes upon them.

V. Unified Doctrine Across the Fathers

Despite the diverse backgrounds and locations of the Church Fathers, their teachings on baptism were remarkably consistent. They all agreed on the following key points:

  • Baptism is necessary for salvation.
  • It cleanses sin and initiates new life.
  • It brings the Holy Spirit and spiritual gifts.
  • It marks deliverance from demonic oppression.
  • It is a mystical participation in Christ’s death and resurrection.

In conclusion, the early Church Fathers saw baptism as a central and transformative practice. They understood it as a means of spiritual rebirth, forgiveness of sins, participation in Christ's death and resurrection, reception of the Holy Spirit, and deliverance from evil. Their teachings continue to shape the understanding and practice of baptism in many Christian traditions today.

THE WORK AHEAD IS TO RESTORE THE CHURCH OF GOD'S WORD FOR THE ENEMY HAS AOLWAYS TARGETED TO DESTROY IT. WE ARE RIGHT NOW (((THE LAST REFORMATION))) BEFORE THE RETURN OF MESSIAH!

Under Shepherd Lambur has been involved in ministry for over 28 years and has much experience! He is also a professional musician, songwriter, singer, artist, and writer. He worked in management for 3 millionaires.  Shepherd is the founder of "Break Free," a deliverance ministry for the addicted who meet twice a month.  Shepherd has been a professional musician, song writer, producer and band leader, the latest band and album are called "The Prophet Poets." Shepherd serves as a Pastor- Teacher, Evangelist, Prophet, Founder of Way of  the Master Yahshua.com and he hosts "The Enliven Factor," where he writes about topics discussed in the Tent of Meeting Fellowship meetup groups.

THERE IS A REFORMATION HAPPENING TODAY!

In light of the decline of modern churches and their affiliated associations straying from God's word, Shepherd is establishing a Micro Church Network that aligns with the Acts Blueprint found in Scripture. We receive guidance from the Head of the Church [Yahshua], represented by the Menorah this means we are walking in His illuminating light , through direct revelations from Adonai. We emphasize the "Word" of YHWH-YAHSHUA as our "Living Oracle," following the leadership of Yahshua in our Tent of Meeting Fellowship, as opened eyed and listening ears followers of our generation. Because this is "The Last Reformation" there are many areas which need to be brought in alianment and corrected.

We hate division and long for the body of Messiah to be one. We can only stand faithfully untill the churches come into anignment with the head of the church Messiah Yahshua and His ajenda. So with a heavey heart we can only pray for these churches at this time and continue to hold to the standard and lift His banner high for all to see!

SOMEONE HAS TO STAND UP FOR THE TRUTH OF GOD AND HIS CHURCH!!!

We never really want division ["di" two different visions], however if you have the right vision alining yourself rightly with His movement with the true foundation, then division can be a good thing! Allowing God to manifest His will through a body of obedient listeners and followers who desire to serve Him is commendable in His sight!

Division can also serve the purpose of providing an example to others, prompting them to recognize what they lack and encouraging them to repent and realign with God's will. One of my mentors said, "If God goes straight and the whole church goes south, I'm following Yahshua!"

BECOMING A LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS!

**Perspective:** The Puritans directly confronted the decline and disobedience of the church and sought to reform it from within. When that proved unsuccessful, many became separatists, working to restore the beliefs and practices that had been disregarded. Over the years, various denominations have taken similar steps to realign themselves with the true teachings of our Master Yahshua and carry out His work in their generation. Yahshua desires us to bear fruit that will endure, just as He instructed His Apostles to establish.

Shepherd was actively involved in the Yahshua/Jesus People Revolution during its middle years and has witnessed true revival firsthand. He participated in a campus ministry at Virginia Tech called Maranatha Ministries, which was led by Bob Weiner, Mario Murillo and at Virginia Tech Maranatha, Robert Baxter who is now in France.

More Background

With over ten years of ministerial studies—far more than the two or three years that is typical of bible colleges— and much experience he has collaborated with some extraordinary men of God and being ordained in 1989. He received encouragement and guidance from notable figures such as Dr. Rayl, Pastor Melvin Parker, Apostle John Henry Rampsoroop, Prophet Steve Sampson, Pastor Joel Lamb, Prophet-Teacher David Crank Sr., Dr. Lester Sumrall and Dr. Roberts Liardon, Apostle Keven Conner; all of whom affirmed and strengthened Shepherd Lambur's ministry. He is truly thankful for their impartations.

In an alignment with what is currently happening [Reformation which comes with Awakening and Revival], Shepherd also recieving training through Mario Murillo.

Shepherd attended the American Revival College in California, founded by Evangelist and Prophet Mario Murillo, who is well known for his ministry across the United States. Shepherd actively supports Mario Murillo and his crusades, which are conducted under the largest tent in America, accommodating up to 7,000 people.

Shepherd also has been doing in parallel the same work in the States as missionary Torben Sondergaard and have followed his ministry since he started. He is part of our School of Acts training plan!

There is much more to share about Shepherd's experiences, which he will elaborate on as he ministers. According to Shepherd, we are currently witnessing the The Last Reformation & The Third Great Awakening, beginning with "Visitation" encounters. Following these encounters, the mission of revival transitions to "Habitation," which is experienced both individually and collectively by believers who are filled with the Spirit.

We are called to pray for America’s salvation, as the nation has been on a downward path. Discipleship is crucial for spiritual growth, helping believers discover their true identity as "Imagers and Shining Ones," as intended originally by God in His garden.

Discipleship goes beyond mere information; it focuses on becoming an apprentice and undergoing training. The body of Messiah, as described in the Book of Acts, is like "Foot Soldiers," spreading the Gospel and transforming their communities. Understanding one’s true identity in Messiah and the gifts He has provided is essential for spiritual development. Now is the time to embrace the real life of a commissioned disciple of Messiah Yahshua!
