NOTE from Shepherd Lambur…
In discovering and regaining our lost Image and Identity, we find our true selves when we enter into a personal relationship with our Maker. From the very beginning, He made us to be in His likeness, which means we are called to recover His image and likeness and become “Imagers!”
All Are Called
The call of God resonates in your life even before you take your first breath: you are called to be saved. This is your primary vocation—a divine invitation extended to everyone. The Bible reminds us that the gifts and callings of God are irrevocable (Romans 11:29). They are unchangeable truths. God has placed His call upon you; He will never take it back. You may choose not to accept it, but God’s promise remains steadfast. This first call is not merely a gentle suggestion; it is a command from God, an earnest plea that carries great weight. He declares, "I would that ye be saved." Furthermore, He urges us, "I set before you life and death, therefore choose life" (Deuteronomy 30:19). You are endowed with free will, and God presents this choice before you because He desires for you to embrace the life He gives. The urgency behind this command is clear and comes with consequences. If it were simply a suggestion or an invitation, there would be no repercussions for disregarding it. Yet, there is a profound truth: the penalty for neglecting this call is an eternity spent in darkness, separated from the love of God. Your human spirit was given to be eternal. Before you experience the transformative power of being born again, your human spirit is destined to dwell in eternal darkness unless you choose to follow God. We may perceive ourselves as merely flesh and blood, but in truth, our bodies are temporary vessels for our human spirit and soul. We are spiritual beings destined to live forever, either in communion with God or engulfed in darkness. Thus, the most crucial call upon your life is the call to be saved. Embrace it with all your heart!
Finding Our Gifts
Once we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we discover the real life we never experienced before. There are gifts in His anointing given and imparted once we become sons and daughters. God gives some gifts before we are saved so that we may discover Him as the gift-giver. Many overlook this pivotal moment and fail to realize how it should have opened our eyes. This was intended to awaken us! What most do not know is that God gives us gifts according to our assignments. Once we’re saved, these gifts come to us in clusters based on the work He gives us. These gifts are intended for our ministry in His service! In this privilege, we are trusted to testify to the world of His presence.
The Call To Serving
In the grand tapestry of serving the kingdom of God, each person is woven into the grand plan of God’s will in the body of Christ. We are all called by a unique calling to serve Him! Among these divine callings, there are people summoned to make up the body of Christ, engaging in His divine missions! Ultimately, this is our call to save souls, plunder Hell, and populate Heaven! It is essential to enter ministry to be well-trained to follow in the gifts and press into our assignment, answering the sacred call after coming to faith.
Many who engage in training are often unaware of how their talents will be transformed into means of glorifying God. That was always His plan— the reason He gave you gifts in the first place. When we come to know God and experience His love, we find ourselves pondering how to channel the gifts we have received. God leads us to our open doors, allowing us to function, edify the body, and increase in birthing new believers. We are all called to be ministers of reconciliation—sharing the gift of salvation with the lost and nurturing one another through the wisdom of God’s Word.
The Supernatural
The supernatural life which we now live, once transformed is a live which is normal to heaven!!! The absence of this understanding means many have never found their true selves.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you [and approved of you as My chosen instrument], And before you were born I consecrated you [to Myself as My own]; I have appointed you as a blank, to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5. Who are you called to be in Him when you discover your Image and Identity?
BECOMING "IMAGERS" - FINDING YOUR TRUE SELF! by Shepherd Lambur
The Gift of Image & Identity
At the Tent Of Meeting Fellowship, we believe in the profound significance of recovering the gift of identity and image as outlined in the scriptures. Mankind was made to be "Imagers." As it says in Genesis 1:26, “God said, 'We shall make man in our image and likeness, according to our form, and they shall rule through dominion.'” This foundational truth is at the core of our mission; to guide individuals towards personal worship, praise and involved in giving Him Glory by doing expoits.
Reflecting the Father
In John 14:8-10, Yahshua reveals a powerful message about the nature of our relationship with God. He says, “Whoever has seen me has seen The Father,” emphasizing the importance of reflecting the divine image in our lives. This principle is central to our teachings as we strive to help our community embody the image of the Father.
Transformation into His Image
As described in 2 Corinthians 3:18, we are committed to supporting the continual transformation of individuals into the image of the Lord. We believe that every person has the potential to grow from one degree of glory even more glorious, guided by the Spirit. This transformation is the essence of our missional movement.
The Restoration of God's Intended Image through Yahshua Jesus
Mankind's creation in the Garden of Eden was a testament to God's grand intentions for humanity. As his image-bearers, we were destined for a life of communion with him, purpose, and fulfillment. However, through disobedience, we lost that image and destiny, inheriting a sin nature that separated us from God and hindered us from reaching our full potential.
This sin nature, influenced by the spirit that works in the disobedient, enslaves us and exiles us from God's true intentions for our lives. Yet, amidst this fallen state, there came a glimmer of hope through the sacrifice of Yahshua Jesus.
Through his death and resurrection, Yahshua Jesus defeated the serpent's head, as prophesied in Genesis. He paid the price for our sins, breaking the chains of sin and bondage. By receiving his Spirit, we can be united to him, living within him and he within us.
This radical transformation, spoken of in Romans 12, involves the renewing of our minds. As we immerse ourselves in God's truth and align our thoughts with his, we experience a change in our identity. We become new creations, living not in our own strength but in the power of the indwelling Christ.
This restoration of our image and likeness, made possible by Yahshua Jesus' work at the cross, is a gift of immeasurable value. It empowers us to live the lives we were destined for, breaking free from the limitations imposed by our fallen nature.
As we embrace the gift of a new Spirit, we become established in our true identity. We are no longer slaves to sin but Sons and Daughters of God, filled with purpose and potential. Our every action, thought, and word becomes a reflection of the divine image within us, restoring the fullness of God's intentions for mankind.
In this restoration, we discover the true meaning of life, living in communion with our Creator, walking in his ways, and fulfilling the destiny he has ordained for us. Through Yahshua Jesus, the broken image of humanity is mended, and we are brought back into the fullness of God's love and purpose. Shepherd Lambur
